We invite prospective students to attend Diversity Connect @ Columbia on December 3, 2010.

Diversity Connect @ Columbia is an interactive way to learn about Columbia Business School (CBS).

Hosted by MBA Admissions in association with the Black Business Students Association (BBSA) and the Hispanic Business Association (HBA), the program gives you the opportunity to learn more about CBS.

Diversity Connect @ Columbia includes:

* An application workshop

* Faculty presentations

* Panel discussions on careers, student life and financial aid

* Social events

* Informal conversations with current students, faculty, alumni, and administrators

REFRESH 2010 – This November 19th

We are building an experience that will convene black professionals in a series of conversations, interviews and case reviews designed to foster interactive discussion and easy, purposeful networking.

Our goal is to transform our annual conference into the premier event for talented, New York City based black executives, from pre-MBA to senior executive, in meaningful dialogue, while providing a toolkit designed after the unique strengths of Columbia Business School – balancing innovation with analytical application.

In an economy of Twitter, microfinance, and Foursquare, panels have to enliven ideas. Take part in a conference that is as exhilarating as business school. We are gathering change makers and thought leaders. If there is a science to being a vanguard, REFRESH is its laboratory.

Business in New York is exciting. That is what the Black Business Students Association Conference is about.

REFRESH Philosophy

REFRESH Co-Chairs

JENNA BOND-LOUDEN comes to Columbia Business School focused on media corporate strategy, specifically in the area of video on-demand, after four years working at the William J. Clinton Foundation. Her accomplishments there include managing the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund and writing for former president Bill Clinton. Prior, she worked for publications SAVOY and BEST LIFE. Jenna is a Wellesley College graduate and holds a certificate from the Columbia School of Journalism Publishing Course. She is a 2009 Management Leadership for Tomorrow MBA Fellow and is actively involved in Minds Matter of New York and College Summit.

NII KONEY is pursuing a dual MD/MBA degree at Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia Business School. He graduated from Williams College with a chemistry degree and spent the next six years working as a medicinal chemist at Infinity Pharmaceuticals, where he was named an inventor on a patent for his work on a novel cancer target. He sees the pivotal role that the healthcare sector plays in expanding economic opportunity and plans to build his career towards improving healthcare delivery systems.

LISA NICOLE WILLIAMS worked in equity and fixed income sell-side research covering multiple industries prior to business school. She enjoyed the wide range of skills the role required and sought an MBA program that would round out her personal and professional experience. Lisa is a Robert Toigo Fellow and is interested in pursuing a career in asset management after completing Columbia Business School. Her introduction to finance began with an undergraduate internship at Citi through Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO). Last summer, she interned with T. Rowe Price as an analyst in their fixed income research division.
